Liquid cooling for B.E.S.S. are running in the Tibet

BlackShields supplied its air-cooled chiller as the liquid cooling solution for the battery energy storage system at a 120,000 kW photovoltaic power plant in Nagqu, Tibet.

The MC-GU series air-cooled chiller is installed inside the battery container. Engineered to account for temperature variations in high-altitude regions, it operates reliably in ambient temperatures ranging from –25 ℃ to 47 ℃, even at elevations up to 4,500 meters above sea level. As the dedicated climate control unit for the battery container, the chiller ensures stable and efficient battery performance under demanding outdoor conditions.

Since its commissioning in 2022, the chiller has operated continuously without any operational issues, demonstrating proven reliability in one of the world’s most challenging environments.
